In this video I talk about how and where to sign up for an Amazon Seller account to start selling on Amazon.
So you watched tons of videos online, you read tons of articles as well on how successful people are selling on amazon. And now you want to go ahead and get started to selling on Amazon. So where do you go? What do you do?
Well whether you’ll be selling a few items a month or a couple hundred a month, everyone has to start somewhere. So that somewhere is setting up for an Amazon seller account. In this video, I’m going to share with you, where to go online to do that. Now there are two different plans and you’ll see the different comparisons when you get there on the website. So choose which one is best for you and I’ll do another video later on to explain a little more about the differences, but without any further ado, let’s get started.
Hi this is Lenny from SimonSaysResell. In this video I am going to go ahead and show you where to go to sign up an amazon seller central account. So at this point you’ve made a commitment, you decided that you’re going to be selling things on amazon, whether it’s books, toys whatever it may be; that’s fantastic. However the first thing you got to do is get a seller account an amazon seller account specifically. To do that it’s fairly easy. If you do a little research online, you’ll be able to find where to go. However, one thing I’ve noticed and some of my viewers have asked me for is a breakdown or difference between the two plans that Amazon offers for their sellers. There’s a professional plan an individual plan. There are some differences we’ll go through a little bit today but mainly in this video, I’m going to show you where to go on Amazon’s website to sign up for either 1. I’m not going to go through the actual sign up process on this video, so I am going to keep this short and sweet.
And you know obviously follow along and if you’re really not sure which plan you want to choose, maybe this video will help out. So the first place you want to go is the Amazon site itself for seller central. So it’s sellercentral.amazon.com; once you go there, go ahead and go to the register now button or a link here. And this is the services homepage for Amazon. Pretty much we are off the bat, they like to promote the professional account because it does cost some money, for the person trying to buy the account like yourself.
It’s $39.99/month, plus fees. The individual account there is no monthly fee however they do take 99 cents out of each sale. So there are some differences but when you go… you don’t really see anything about the individual account. It’s just the professional account. So what you need to do is you go to solutions up top and then go to sell on Amazon and when you do that, you’ll still see some more marketing of course about the professional but if you scroll down, you’ll now see two buttons; one for professional and one for individual and now a nice little breakdown of the two itself. So the main difference really is the price, obviously it’s $39.99 or no monthly fee but they take almost a dollar out of each sale.
So you really got to think to yourself, what you’ll be selling, how many do you have to sell and so on and so forth so one of my other videos, I talk about setting up an Amazon business plan, what your plan is from start to finish, at least as far as you know the path you’re going in the process of purchasing whatever item you will be selling, getting it listed so on and so forth. So it’s a good thing to think about obviously but the great news about this is you can upgrade and downward plans once you sign up for either one. So if you decide to sign up for an individual and you see things are going well and you want to upgrade to professional, you obviously can and vice versa.
If you sign up for a professional, like I did at first you obviously can downgrade to individual if you need to. So either way, works for you, just gotta find out what best fits your needs. And obviously you can see here is some nice some breakdowns and some fees and some pricing as well.
So that’s pretty much it for this video guys, I just wanted to show you where to go to see the differences between the two and kind of give you a guide or some direction on how to move forward from here and actually sign up the account.
